On April 28th 2012, I joined over 60 nations, and scores of people, who came together and celebrated Tai Chi for World Tai Chi Day!

Bryant Park joined in the celebration and hosted their 1st Tai Chi class of the Summer, which I attended. Bryant Park has a free Tai Chi class from May through September, Tuesday & Thursday, from 7:30am - 8:30am at the Fountain Terrace, at 6th Ave & 41st St. It's a GREAT way to get in tune with your energy and make the most of your day. Also a GREAT way to learn a new stretching warm up. You leave feeling refreshed, revitalized, and renewed. I've been going & I feel so balanced when I start the day off with Tai Chi. The GOAL: Go EVERY week & learn the warm up so I can do it EVERY day on my own!

Some more photos I took from World Tai Chi Day at Bryant Park:

Can't wait for my next Tai Chi class! Have you ever done Tai Chi? Or considered doing Tai Chi? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

Free Tai Chi, wonderful! I used to practice Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu in Philadelphia, and never felt better than during that time. Martial arts are a body of wisdom that form a treasure to be remembered. Thank you for sharing this, I'll be looking for it in Bryant Park on the way to work.

Thank you for your comment J.J. Brown! I know what you mean when you say you felt better when you were actively doing Chi Chuan Kung Fu. Martial Arts are such an effective way to bring balance to the body.

Build the body, mind & spirit together as my Tae Kwon Do instructor used to always say.
